PROMENADE AT ELK GROVE
Elk Grove, California
M&H Realty Partners
The 138 acre Promenade at Elk Grove is currently in development. The Promenade Square, Promenade Marketplace and Promenade Village have been designed and developed by Mark Krukiel for M&H Realty Partners and Merlone Geier Partners. The open-air mixed-use project will include retail, restaurants, office and residential. The Promenade at Elk Grove surrounds the 100 acre “Outlet Collection at Elk Grove” being developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation. The design cues for the Promenade at Elk Grove were derived from the architectural language of the initial 1.3 million square foot Promenade Mall -- a modern and “Californian” architectural style that provides a comfortable environment for the progressive population of Elk Grove.
The original Promenade Mall was designed by the Dallas office of Laguarda Low and partially constructed but progress was suspended due to the economic downturn. The Howard Hughes Corporation is redeveloping the stalled project transforming it into a regional outlet center with over 100 shops and restaurants and a 14-screen movie theatre. The first phase includes reconfiguring existing buildings and site work that were initially constructed by the former developer, General Growth Properties.
The combined 295 acre development will be the ultimate shopping and entertainment choice for Sacramento area residents. This highly anticipated development will appeal to today’s value-savvy, brand conscious shopper while offering a host of state-of-the-art retail, dining and entertainment options.
